The Church of Quingua
(Plaridel, Bulacan)

This is the very first church constructed by the Augustinians in Lumang Bayan from 1580-1595 under the direction of Reverend Father Pedro Vasquez. Transferred here in the town proper in 1605 under the direction of Reverend Father Diego Pardo. It was repaired once more in the year 1722. Its first Filipino parish priest is Reverend Father Victorino Lopez who joined the revolutionary movement as a leader under Captain Jose Serapio of Santa Mara. The church and convent were used as army hospital and barrack by the Americans in 1839.
